Red mites are a major and persistent issue in layer farming, negatively affecting hen health and welfare. They feed at night, causing stress, blood loss, reduced feed intake, and lower egg quality. Infestations can lead to decreased performance and higher mortality rates. Given their rapid lifecycle (7–10 days), effective and proactive mitigation strategies are essential to support hens’ resilience and performance.
The Biostrong™ RM-Guard product line is a phytogenic-based nutrition solution designed specifically to help manage the impact of red mite infestations in layer operations. Built on deep expertise in plant extracts and essential oil technologies, it leverages a unique blend of natural compounds that supports a reduction in red mite pressure while helping hens maintain intake and performance.
